Kids' Advocacy Place-
Hill Country CARES programs, like KAP, confront a topic not uncommon with our clients. TRAUMA.
When it occurs, it can be largely unseen, and yet, still bring crippling and contagious damage. Trauma attacks individuals at the core, causing changes in brain chemistry that impacts functioning, mental health, productivity at work and home, and relationships. Below, we list some things commonly associated with Trauma.
Providing prevention programs with kids in area schools and trainings for faculty and staff hopefully moving one step closer to preventing our kids in our communities from becoming the next generation of abusers and victims.
